Swazi’s Rifleman Gen II anorak has won the ‘Shooting Apparel’ category at the inaugural Great British Shooting Awards held at the British Shooting Show, NEC, Birmingham in last month.
The new annual awards recognise the UK shooting industry’s achievements and innovations throughout the previous year. Entries to the ‘Shooting Apparel of the Year’ were shortlisted by the independent judging panel and then voted for by the British public.
Founder and creative director at Swazi Apparel, Davey Hughes, commenting on the win said: “We at Swazi are passionate about designing the most convenient and reliable gear for all weathers, and we are elated that the British public agree with us and have voted us as winners in the apparel category.”
Designed for functionality, the shell, which only weighs a mere 395 grams, is easily packed away and barely noticeable on your back. Created using Swazi’s proprietary AEGISâ Strata fabric, the Rifleman Gen II is the obvious choice when conserving weight and bulk. A fully adjustable hood and water-resistant zips provide signature Swazi protection against wet weather. The Cagoule style jacket has a half-length zip which makes putting the jacket on and taking it back off, quick and slick at a sudden turn of events in the sky. The chest pocket offers weather protection for personal belongings and convenient easy access. Tight but comfortable elasticated cuffs deter rain up the sleeve and a long back offers even the tallest of hunters’ utmost protection.
