Tweed Media’s client, Outdoor Sportsman Group, the world’s largest aggregator of outdoor lifestyle content and owner of the subscription-based, video-on-demand service MyOutdoorTV.com (MOTV), recently acquired Hunters Video in a deal reported as the largest of its kind in European hunting sector history. The deal was announced today by Outdoor Sportsman Group President and CEO, Jim Liberatore.
The landmark acquisition means the entire library of Hunters Video content will be made available globally on MOTV. The union of Hunters Video and MOTV brings together two market leaders and offers European and global audiences the highest quality, locally-produced content featuring programming of favourite game species and hunting disciplines alongside the best North American content, exclusively on MOTV.
Hunters Video was the first European subscription-based, video-on-demand streaming service solely devoted to hunting, fishing and shooting. This deal means its films and programs, including the hugely-popular Wild Boar Fever series, will be accessible on MOTV.
As part of the deal, Outdoor Sportsman Group has also secured an original production agreement with the veteran producer and founder of Hunters Video, Poul Erik Madsen, as well as an agreement with his co-owner and star of the Wild Boar Fever series, Franz Albrecht Oettingen-Spielberg to appear in future productions.
